Consultation-led
Weight Management.
Losing weight is not simply eating less and moving more, and being told that it is has not helped anybody. For some people appetite, hunger and portion control are genuinely physiological, and that is something that can be assessed.
- First step
- A private consultation
- Assessed
- Weight, BMI, health history, current medication
- Reviewed
- Throughout, not just at the start

- Plans available. Discussed at consultation
What people come in for
What People Actually Come in For
Appetite You Cannot Out-Argue
Hunger between meals, cravings, and portions that never feel like enough. For some people this is physiology rather than willpower, and treating it as a character flaw has never worked.
Having Tried Everything
Most people who come in have dieted repeatedly and lost and regained the same weight several times. That history is useful information, not something to be embarrassed about.
Comfort and Mobility
For many people this is not about appearance at all. It is about moving more easily, feeling comfortable, and the long-term health benefits of reaching a healthier weight.
A Relationship With Food
Portion sizes, habits, and the pattern of eating rather than the content of one meal.
Keeping It Off
Reaching a target weight is one thing. Holding it is a different and longer piece of work, and it is planned for from the beginning.
What Happens to Your Face
Rapid weight loss shows in the face first, and it catches almost everyone by surprise. There is a separate page about that.

How it works
How This Starts
With a private consultation, and with an assessment rather than a sale. Your current weight and BMI, your health history, any medication you already take, what you have tried before and what you actually want to achieve.
That assessment establishes whether a supported weight-management programme is appropriate for you at all. Sometimes the answer is that it is not, and you will be told that plainly.
More Than a Number on the Scales
For most people who come here, successful weight management is about far more than appearance. It is about being more comfortable, more mobile and more confident, and about the long-term health benefits that come with reaching and holding a healthier weight.
- Losing excess body weight
- Improving your relationship with food and portion sizes
- Feeling more comfortable in your clothes
- Becoming more physically active
- Supporting better long-term health
- Improving confidence and wellbeing
- Building habits that survive past the programme
How Quickly Does It Work
Everyone responds differently, and this should be treated as a progressive journey rather than an overnight transformation. How much and how fast depends on your diet, your activity, your starting weight, your own biology and your ability to make changes you can actually keep.
The goal is not to lose weight quickly. It is to build an approach that gives you the best chance of losing it and holding on to it.
What Happens When You Reach Your Goal
Reaching a target weight is an achievement. Maintaining it is the harder half, and your longer-term plan is discussed with you, including lifestyle, and where relevant how any prescribed element of your plan should be reviewed.
Anything prescribed as part of a weight-management plan must never simply be stopped or altered without advice from the person responsible for prescribing it. If you want to change something, speak to us first.
Costs and Payment Plans
Payment plans are available so the cost can be spread rather than paid in one go. What your programme involves and what it costs are confirmed at your consultation, once suitability has been established, which is the only point at which anybody could tell you honestly.
Afterwards
What Happens, and When
01 Your consultation
Assessment, Not a Sales Appointment
Weight, BMI, health history, current medication, what you have already tried and what you want to achieve. This is also where you ask everything you want to ask.
02 Getting started
Low and Slow
Where a programme is appropriate it begins conservatively and is adjusted according to your progress and how well you tolerate it. Nobody starts at the top.
03 Along the way
Reviewed, Not Left Alone
Progress is reviewed throughout rather than at the end. Adjustments are made on the basis of how you are actually doing, and support is part of what you are paying for.
04 Reaching your goal
The Maintenance Conversation
Holding a healthier weight is planned for deliberately. Lifestyle, habits and, where relevant, how the rest of your plan is reviewed.
What a year actually looks like
A Programme, Not a Prescription
Six points across a supported year. The assessment and the reviews are the programme; anything prescribed is one part of it, and only where it is appropriate.
Week 0
The Consultation
Weight, BMI, health history, what you have already tried and what you want to achieve. This is also where you are told plainly if a programme is not appropriate for you.
Week 1
Starting, Conservatively
Where a programme is appropriate it begins low and slow, and is adjusted to your progress and how well you tolerate it. Nobody starts at the top.
Month 1
The First Review
Not a weigh-in and a wave. What is working, what is not, what is difficult, and what needs changing.
Month 3
Habits, Not Just Numbers
Portion size, the pattern of eating, activity. The part that decides whether any of this survives the programme.
Month 6
What Your Face Is Doing
Rapid loss shows in the face before anywhere else. This is usually when people notice, and the order of any treatment matters.
Month 12
Maintenance
Holding a healthier weight is planned for deliberately, from the beginning, not discussed at the end.
Before you decide
Is This Right for You?
Tick anything that sounds like you. Nothing is recorded, and nothing here is a diagnosis: it is the conversation you would have in the room, started early.
Probably, yes
This Is Likely to Be for You If
Probably not, yet
This Is Not the Right Starting Point If
Tick what applies and you will be told where that leaves you.

What It Costs
Payment plans are available so that the cost can be spread across months rather than paid up front.
The detail of your programme and what it costs are confirmed at your consultation, after your suitability has been assessed. That is not evasiveness. Until somebody has looked at your weight, your history and your medication, nobody can tell you honestly what your plan would involve.
Where a plan includes anything prescribed, it is supplied only where it is clinically appropriate, and UK law does not permit prescription treatments or their prices to be advertised to the public. Ring the clinic on 01233 225684 and you will be told what you need to know.
Before you book
Questions People Ask
Suitability is assessed at consultation and includes your weight and BMI along with your health history. There are people who are told a programme is not appropriate for them, and that is the assessment working correctly.
No. The consultation, the assessment, the review appointments and the support are the programme. Anything prescribed is one part of it and only where clinically appropriate.
That depends almost entirely on what changes alongside it, which is why maintenance is planned from the start rather than discussed at the end.
Because your programme depends on your assessment, and because UK law does not permit prescription treatments or their prices to be advertised publicly. Call the clinic and you will be told.
You are never locked in, but nothing prescribed should be stopped or changed without speaking to the person responsible for prescribing it first.
Rapid weight loss shows up in the face before anywhere else, and it takes most people by surprise. There is a page about exactly that, and it is worth reading before you start rather than afterwards.
